The Choices in Life
Dance on the
edge and beware the fall;
Follow the group and accept the consequences,
Life is filled with endless trouble,
Born to live in madness,
Fated to die by nature or man's hand;
There's risk in moving and standing still.
To lose everything or pass off a second chance.
How we each choose to live is an adventure of courage and will
Or a desire to stay in Lifes concert as a backup singer.
Death is infinite and collects us whether we've lived or not.
So my question to you is simple;
Has the choice you made brought joy or are you distraught?
If the answer is the latter then wake up and begin the climb!
At the mountain top is the prize you let slip away!
From fearful depths, you will rise to confident heights!
However, if you live with the glass full of golden rays
Then listen closely because I have a request.
Many live with
conflicted doubts,
Standing in
corners, caught in shadowed duress.
In this time
where society is fraught with faceless ghosts
Firelight is
extinguishing,
But the flames
of hope don't have to die out.
When someone is
thrown down, into violent seas
Jump! Save them
before death takes hold!
Defend them,
don't turn your face in shame!
Ignoring the
ones you love because "it's not your fight"
Isn't love, but
hollowness inflicting soul- scarring pain!
If you promise loyalty and trust, then answer their pain, don't let them die!
Making choices in life isn't easy- if only one could foresee different futures-
But don't put on the Don't Disturb sign and ignore reality!
The choice still waits to be answered, by us and not a stranger,
So stand firmly before the danger; be there to help someone be free!
