Bugs Buzzing

A jaded dragonfly zipping past his ears, chased by the honey bees Around the yard and through the trees. A gathering of insects: both winged and those who crawl Taking place each summer's dawn,  Upon the lands beside the lakes and ponds, every puddle Filled with gossip and buzzing News of the worldly traveled insects whose lives though short Lived recklessly and died sooner- to report.  Or so I imagined their conversations to go, as a creative person Who cannot get down that small and get a word in Compared to the loud, intense crescendo Of the bugs and how pitched their voices can go.
