Reflections on Adulthood
Wet and dreary are the days of this student.
It would seem prudent
To explain my case
But please give a girl some space
The life of an adult is about surviving
There's school, responsibilities, drama, fighting
There's change and heartbreak
Sometimes it feels the burden is too heavy to take
And you just want to curl up and die.
You easily could give in and lose this game of Life
But what would the point of your struggling be,
If you quit these labors that would've ended in beauty?
A good friend told me, there is beauty after suffering
That God doesn't not allow struggle without rewarding
So bear with the Cross, and pray for strength
Yes, it seems this torment goes on in length
But there is a purpose
And Scripture tells us, it's worth it.
