Learning Latin

Learning Latin is trivial 

This class is a test of endurance and survival. 

It's the backbone for language lovers

But, a pain in the shoulders.

Where confusion on translating letters of Christians and War

Culmulates in panicked cries of "THERE'S MORE?!" 

Each minute that passes is chased by nouns and verbing

All the students' brains ache from being told "Memorize These Endings!" 

And when Rome promises a time of ease and rest

Truthfully, it's all in jest.

Learning Latin isn't for the lighthearted

It's fraught with riddles from the departed.
