Sandman
A Dreamer's hopes are Sandman's dust,
Kept in velvet pouches away from us
-Not for selfishness or greed,
No, he guards each child's dreams
From the discouragement that creeps
And lurks beneath the bed.
The Sandman comes every night,
Following Heaven's glow and owl's flight
He sprinkles dust into our minds
Through our sleeping eyes.
A black canvas bursts with color!
From emptiness we're surrounded by this Wonder:
A fantasy without boundaries,
For Dreamers like you and me!
For you see, these wishes we have for a better world
Come from the dreams of boys and girls
That Sandman visits and gives the chance
To change their unhappy life: create and expand,
If only they follow the dreams in his hands!
There is no truth in "Dreaming is Bad"
Don't listen to them crush every hope you have.
If you have a dream, go chase and remember:
Thanks to Sandman, our dreams last forever!
